For use in heavy duty structural applications such as LVL and deck substructure, as a replacement for lag screws, and other remodeling applications. For use in interior and exterior conditions, and the GRK Climatek coating is approved for use in treated lumber.

PHEINOX™ RSS™ 305 Stainless Steel*

PHEINOX 305 Stainless Steel screws are corrosion and stain resistant - designed to withstand wet environments. Typical applications for 305 stainless are in corrosive environments such as lakes, pools, spas, decks, and boardwalks. Compatible with most wood types including cedar, redwood and ipe. *Some sizes are not available in Canada

PHEINOX 316 Stainless Steel screws are corrosion and stain resistant - designed to withstand coastal environments. Typical applications for 316 stainless are in harsh salt water environments such as coastal, industrial and agricultural areas. *Product not available in Canada

Does your Climatek coating contain any heavy metals such as Cadmium?

No, GRK's coating does not contain any heavy metals.

What does GRK mean when they state wood was tested at a specific gravity?

There is a number assigned to specific wood types. This number helps to determine the Tensile and Shear of fasteners used in these gravities.

What are Tensile and Shear values for GRK screws in OSB Plywood?

The manufacturer of the OSB would have to be contacted for the gravity/contents of the plywood in order to determine the pull out and shear.

Can MCQ be used with any GRK screws?

Yes, GRK screws can be used in MCQ treated lumber.

Do all GRK Screws have the Zip Tip™ feature

All GRK R4, RSS, Cabinet, Trim, and MSS screws 1" in length and longer contain the Zip TipTM feature.

When should I use stainless steel screws?

Use of 305 stainless steel screws are recommended for use in Ipe, Wolmanized Treated Lumber, Cedar, White Oak, and any hardwood.

Anything within 1 mile of the coast should use 316 Stainless Steel fasteners and anything within 15 miles of the coast should use 305 Stainless Steel fasteners.

What is Climatek™ Coating?

The GRK Climatek coating provides superior corrosion resistance, allowing the screw to be used in both interior and exterior applications as well as pressure treated lumber.
